This 1987 Jackson Soloist arrived at GMW in pretty bad shape. The client requested removal of the middle pick-up, along with the original control holes. The tremolo and bridge pick-up routs were also in need of repair. So those areas were partially filled prior to the next step.......
........Next, a maple veneer was installed over the body. This veneer prevents any seam or repair lines from later appearing after refinishing. The original bridge and neck pick-up routs were then re-established, along with the correct tremolo rout for a new Original Floyd. The old 1/2" factory inserts were removed prior to installation of a new set of 1/2" Schaller conversion inserts. These new inserts enabled the conversion of the original factory Jackson tremolo to an Original Floyd. Finally, the control holes were installed. The guitar is now ready for paint.
The guitar has now been sprayed red, followed by several protective coats of urethane. It's now ready for installation of the graphic.

The Red Baron graphic and final paint work have now been completed, so the guitar is ready for buff and assembly.
